Harness Lead

$27.00

Harness Lead is a safe and gentle walking tool that keeps pressure off of a dog's neck! This eliminates damage to the delicate throat area and lowers dogs' stress levels when walking. Because of the way the leash tightens at the back when a dog moves forward, it gently discourages pulling while you work on leash manners. So many dogs come into shelters with neck injuries from tight collars, harsh leash corrections or being tethered 24/7, so why would we want to put anymore stress on that area? Let's give these babes a break and let them experience the joy of pain-free, low-stress walks.

As a long-time shelter and rescue volunteer, I've had to struggle with slip leads and collars that choke dogs and make walks stressful for the dogs and the handler. And while I do love a no-pull harness, it's difficult to use one in a shelter setting because of having to make fit adjustments for each dog. Several years ago, a friend told me about Harness Lead and it totally rocked my world! Since then, it's become my volunteer tool of choice. I even keep one in each car for picking up strays.  It's escape-proof, too, so it works nicely for fearful dogs who may pose a flight risk.

As with any equipment, Harness Lead works best with positive encouragement and high-value rewards, so don't forget to bring your treat pouch with some freeze dried treats or bits of cheese!
