Fit for a Pit believes in protecting the privacy of our customers. This policy describes the personal information we collect about you, why we collect it, how we use it and when we share it with third parties. Our policy also describes the choices you can make about how we collect and use your information.
Information we collect
We may collect and store any identifiable information that you choose to provide in connection with your use of Fit for a Pit. This may include personally identifiable information (such as your name, your dog’s information, shipping address, billing address, email address and phone number) that we need in order to process your orders, communicate with you, or provide you with services that you request. we do not store credit card numbers and our payment processor (Stripe) also does not store them. Only the last 4 #s of your credit are shown to us.
We may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information about your hardware devices (i.e., your computer or mobile device) when you access Fit for a Pit. For example, when you visit www.fit4apit.com (the “site”), we may collect your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, which is the number automatically assigned to your computer or mobile device whenever you access the Internet, as well as information about the type of browser software you use and the referring Web site. This number does not identify your name, email address or other personal information. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our service and to administer the site.
How we use your information
We use your shipping address to ship your products to you only. We use your billing address, if different than your shipping address, to verify your billing information. The financial information collected is used only to bill you for products purchased by you.
If you sign up for email or if you provide your email address to us, we will send you occasional emails. These emails will inform you of newly released products, special sales, promotional offers and of other useful product tips. You may opt out of future mailings at any time.
We will never share our customer names or addresses, e-mail addresses or other personally identifiable information with anyone outside of Fit for a Pit LLC!
How to remove your name from our email list
You may choose to receive or decline communications from us at the point where we request information about you. You also may use the following options for removing your information from our database so as not to receive future communications, or to no longer receive our service, or to not share your name and address with other companies.

2. In emails that we send you, you may use the “opt out” or “unsubscribe” option included in the footer of the email itself.
We protect the security of your information during transmission by using 128-bit encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. SSL offers the highest level of protection available for all your Internet communication (including credit card use and financial transactions) and encrypts information you input. We also hold a secure key, or digital certificate through Verisign, the most trusted name in Internet security. This key ensures that we are who we say we are and that any data exchanged online is protected from theft and tampering. To view the security certificate for this site, proceed to the checkout area of the Shopping Cart and click the secure lock in the status bar of your browser. In addition, our site also implements an advanced security method based on dynamic data and encoded session identifications and hosts the services in a secure server environment using a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.
We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card number when confirming an order. Our system transmits the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing but we do not see this number, nor is it stored anywhere.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
